I am a currently Blue Cardholder for working with children. I am also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society for Academics and have previously been the recipient of the Rotary Club of Mackay North Scholarship. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree.
Experience
I am currently studying for a bachelor of secondary education and have seven years of tutoring experience beyond my teaching practice. I have experience tutoring primary and high school-aged students of a wide range of abilities and needs, in a variety of subjects. I have a passion for teaching, learning, and helping others to reach their full potential. This passion makes me believe teaching is a career in which I can make a positive difference in the lives of many. After starting my tertiary studies, I began tutoring children from grades 1 to 12. I enjoy working with children with diverse backgrounds and abilities, and I am always doing my best to highlight their unique talents and skills, whilst helping them improve in other areas. The teaching areas I am currently studying include English and Home Economics. However, I tutor children in a range of subject areas including assignment writing, exam preparation, English, Home Economics, History, Modern History, Science for grades 1 to 10, study and organization skills, reading, writing, vocabulary, as well as primary school mathematics.

Hobbies
Outside of university and work I enjoy reading and I am slowly building my collection of classic literary novels. I love cooking and run a facebook page called 'Cooking on a Uni-Bum's Budget' where I share my love of food. I am also a committee member for two local suicide prevention and awareness groups and spend most of my free time assisting them, trying to improve the lives of others and support those within the community.
